In the first step of the process you want to look through all of the shingles on your roof. You need to do a quick check so that you can locate the problem. Once you’ve located the shingle that needs to be replaced you can get started.
To put in the new shingle you are going to want to loosen the other shingles around the one that needs replacing. You can do this by using a flat blade to get underneath the shingles.
Once the shingles are loose, you need to take out whatever was being used to keep them in place. It may be nails or staples. Now you’re ready to put in the new shingle. The new shingle is going to be overlapped by the ones you just loosened, and you can slide it right in. The last step of the process involves hammering nails into the shingle to hold it in place.
All in all, the roof repair process isn’t very complicated, but it requires the hand of a professional.
